Recently I learned that they had legalized public sex at Vondelpark in Amsterdam. I looked up images (of the park, not the sex you sickos) and did an absolutely rough sketch of some space by a river. there was also a statue on the other side of this waterway, but it didn’t fit my 3 panel structure (yet another argument for four panels I suppose).
Inspired in part by Ray Bradbury, this comic also takes inspiration from my original inspiration, the webcomic asofterworld. The conversation between someone praying and God was a trope they used a few times. This particular one about parents returning was done with the image of a kitten, I believe.
So yeah, I had to add the postscript of the parents returning home across the virtual universes as badass barbarians riding lions instead of being eaten by them.
A student something similar to me the other day, talking all about their car and less about all the stuff they needed for class that they happened to leave in their car.
I should ask him about his car, though. It’s probably pretty nice.
I’m not sure if the post-script is meant to be the teacher saying it or the student. In either event, just assume the teacher got his degree remotely and the student will one day learn how to pass the class, maybe even remotely.
This couldn’t be me. I wouldn’t have been legal to step on that stage 27 years ago. Close, but not quite there. I also didn’t have the money to travel to Vegas, nor the necromantic energy to enthrall an entire room of onlookers.
Though I suppose I did only draw one. Just assume that the rest of them are dust.
Also note: if I were any kind of organized fool, I’d document the photo sources I use for references. I feel like sharing those would be hilarious.
I am not any kind of organized fool.
I haven’t decided which fate would be worse. To be the dancer turning undead, or to be a viewer trapped in a chair. At least the dancer is getting exercise, but the viewer…I suppose I did draw that one skeleton with an arm under the table.
