024 – I’ll Be Back

I drew a shotgun. Some of my friends will be proud of me. More will be ashamed.

If nothing else, try not to look too closely at Kyle Reese. He’s been through some stuff and needs to get better.

And Sarah Connor looks absolutely coked out in this drawing. I blame common representations of being coked out and not the drawing itself.

Time travel is a common pickup line some days, no? No? Maybe wait for the time travelers to appear. Then we’ll see.

023 – Work Wifi

I put off buying a smart phone for the longest time. Finally, my co-worker convinced me that a smart phone would allow me to “check facebook” or something. The rest is history.

Also, drawing that wifi connection multiple times hurt me.

Also, I know some people who say weefee, which makes me giggle.

“Weefee” ehhhehehehe

022 – Failure of Memory

Is it scary that the first thing I think about in commenting on this piece is Johnny the Homicidal Maniac written by Jhonen Vazquez screaming about how necessary it is for him to keep blood on the walls of his underground murder home? “I HAVE TO KEEP THE WALL WET”

Okay, maybe it’s not that serious.

Also, after I shared this with some friends, they asked me if I was a Scanner. That would have been a funnier postscript. Oh well.

021 – Why Do Birds?

by ductileanchors on February 10, 2023 at 6:21 am

Clearly I wrote this comic after staying up way too late listening to The Carpenters and the Violent Femmes only to realize it was morning and cursing the sound of birds chirping in my ear. Obviously that’s what happened.

Not that I was up late doing any other thing. No. That would make too much sense.

Also, looking at my drawing now, it looks like the bird is hanging out in a kiddie pool like some funky shaped Flamingo.

020 – The Real Ultimate Nullified

The Ultimate Nullifier was always a dumb plot device to me, but I still looked for a picture of it and tried to draw it, didn’t I?

This was based on one of those “Would You Rather” type discussions I had with my 8 year old son. He wanted to know what I would remove from the universe if I could, and I was all abstract with my emo stuff and he had the real answer.

The giant bugs that weren’t culled would be upon us before we realized our mistake.

I should use that line in a future comic.
